Humpback whales travel from the northern seas of Russia and Alaska (5,600 miles) to give birth to their calves in the warm waters surrounding Okinawa and the Kerama Islands. These gentle giants grow up to be 50' long and weigh up to 30 tons. Watch pods swim through the waters - you may be lucky enough to watch a breach, with some jumping 45-50 feet above water.
