Rooms are set up and ready to go for mission oriented meetings and briefings. Fees apply for non-mission essential reservations. Must be 18 or over to rent a room.

*All catered food, with the exception of cake, ice cream and beverages, must be provided by an 18th FSS establishment. No additional outside food is authorized.

Our American Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association (ADTSEA) certified courses are 45 hours in length with 39 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of Behind the Wheel instruction. For more information, please call 634-1387.

2-Hour Refresher

For personnel who fall under the Kadena Pass and ID jurisdiction, i.e. Air Force, DoDDs, Exchange and Air Force civilians plus their dependents.

3-Hour Refresher
$75 • Per person
Saturdays • 10 am – 1 pm
For personnel who fall under the Foster Base Safety jurisdiction, i.e. Marines, Navy, Army, USMC/USN/USA civilians and their dependents. Required to have a learner’s permit for the BTW driving portion of the 3-hour class.


Teen & Open First-Time Driver’s Course Schedule 
• Classroom instruction is held for the first two weeks of the course.
• Schedule will be adjusted one day to accommodate all federal holidays.
• Behind the Wheel instruction is scheduled for the second two weeks of the course.
• The schedule is made at the discretion of the student/instructor and is not limited to classroom times only.
• Students can arrange day, evening or weekend Behind the Wheel hours as their schedule permits.
• Students are required to complete 6 hours of Behind the Wheel and 6 hours of observation time as a passenger.

Active Duty First-Time Driver’s Course Schedule 
• Classroom instruction is held the first five days of class. Schedule will be adjusted to accommodate all federal holidays.
• Behind the Wheel Instruction is scheduled for the last three days of class. Students are required to complete 6 hours of Behind the Wheel and 6 hours of observation time as a passenger.
• All Navy, Marines, and Army that are E-5 and below will need a yellow card signed off by their commanding officer prior to registering for a class.


How to Register
Fill out the registration form (see below) for the appropriate driver’s education classes. Print out the form and bring it to the Schilling Community Center to finalize your enrollment and payment for the class. Registration forms will also be available at the Schilling Community Center front desk.

Individuals placed on the waitlist will receive a call or email from the Schilling Community Center if space becomes available for the specific classes/dates requested.

Refunds may be granted to:
• Individuals with valid receipts showing proof of payment prior to the start of class
• Individuals providing proof of mission requirements
• Emergency leave/medical reasons

*During Typhoon Season, all Driver’s Education/Behind the Wheel instruction will be cancelled at TCCOR-1.
